We’ve have a reader question come in on the subject of free karaoke. Let’s take a look:

Question: Trying to find ways to drum up business for a local club. What would make you want to go to the club on a Wednesday or Sunday?

We currently have drink specials on those nights for $1.50 Call, Well, Wine and Domestic Beers all night. Ladies get in free on Wednesdays. We have pool tournaments on Sundays and Karaoke contests on Wednesdays. We have Male Strippers coming in on a Friday. What other events/specials

Answer: What about having live music? If you find even a local band (cover bands are fun) with a big following, you can get a packed house on a Thursday.

How about an open mic night? Those can be sporadic, but can draw a crowd.

On ladies' night - I know of a bar that had ten cent drinks for two or three hours - including top shelf. They were PACKED on a Wednesday.

Are you set up with a kitchen? Try some Happy Hour specials or some specials to tie in with a sporting event. (Mint Juleps for the Kentucky Derby. Wings for the Superbowl. Stuff like that.)

    I agree with zippythejessi

    Wed night is a perfect Ladies night where ladies drink free and maybe have a DJ going.

    A local bar/club here does a Birthday Thurs where everyone who's bday is that week (doesnt have to be on Thurs) gets a free t-shirt, cup, and drinks free all night.
    Its always packed. But that bar also has the hottest waitresses in town which im sure doesnt hurt.
