A karaoke machines question that should definitely interest you all this week

Question: When i was younger, i used to love dancing around with a set of curling tongs in front of the mirror pretending to be a popstar. Today, I have been playing with my 6 year old and we got her karaoke machine out (which i asked someone to buy her for Christmas) and have had a fab time screeching down the mike and dancing around like loonies. I think it is really important for her not to be self concious and she has belted a few songs out. I realised that i was actually acting like a huge kid and it brought back the memories of before karaoke machines were on the market (that's why i used to improvise with the tongs.) Anyone else done similar and give me your examples. Look forward to reading them. Thanks.
Answer: when my daughters were about 5 and 6 my husband and dad bought them a train set between them hence on christmas morning the two of them set up the track and they both had a great time yes im talking about the men as the girls were only aloud to look not touch. but i must admit last year i bought my granddaughter a singstar to go with her playstation and we have a great time belting out all the songs and she thinks its so funny nan cant hit the high notes,we end up laughing so much it certainly bridges the age gap.

    I always wanted a pedal car but my mum & dad could never afford one
    I bought one for my son but he only used it about twice so I was a bit dissapointed
    now I just get him what he wants

    aww thats so sweet i think its nice that u are reliving ur child hood by letting ur kids have something that u wanted so bad. lol u probably freaked when u saw the karoke machine lol jk
    i dont thing i had any similar experiences since i dont have kids but ur story was cute

    bought my son Kreplunk one christmas. i always wanted it. that and Mr Frosty but they don't make that any more or santa would've brought him that too haha

    i was always into Dr Who and they never really had any good toys out when i was younger so when Dr Who returned a few years ago i sat my little lad down and he loved every minute of it so now we have all the toys and games and have loads of fun..
