Does Anyone Know How I Can Buy a Text Voting Machine?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: I work in the entertaining business and im planning to run a huge karaoke competition, I am looking for a txt machine, the machines that are used to vote .eg(X factor, Big Brother) these use a five digit number. I know where to get the number, but where do I get the machine. This is really driving me mad. If anyone can help, I would be eternally gratefull!!! Thanks
Answer: I am not sure, but it seems like these are always through a specific carrier. They'll say “Tex *432 from your Sprint Wireless phone to vote for…” With that belief, it should have to be through a specific carrier. American Idol for example uses AT&T, you may want to contact the business division of a carrier and see if it's possible to set this up. I can almost guarantee it's not a machine you buy (like a credit card processing machine). There would be no way to bill it to the wireless customers (you KNOW that voting costs them a text out of their bucket).
