American Idol Last Night? More Karaoke? Sounded a Lot Like

This week’s question is as follows:

Question: I think they kind of tried to copy their favorites instead of trying to make the songs their own for the most part. Some did but most had boring copies. I wasn’t terribly impressed with the evening. What say YOU.
Answer: I say I completely agree. Based on those performances, I wouldn’t have guessed many of them to be in the top 13… top 100 maybe. It was a train wreck in my opinion. Boring and dull, and I hate when people sing songs I’ve never heard of, which about half of them did.

Even some of my top faves were lousy last night.

    There were a few that stood out
    Most were boring

    It’s hard to guess who would be in the bottom three
    I think it could easy be one of seven
    I did not think the judges were right about loving what they did
    I did agree on who they did not like

    To be honest, only Pia, James and Jacob really stands out technically.

    The rest are mostly just ok covers of the song. Its about song choices too, as certain songs have very limited range and its easy to sound monotonic
