It depends on *who* was singing Karaoke in German.
Plus, there is no "was singing", in german. There’s only "sang" or "have sung" or "had sung".

I was singing… = I have sung Karaoke in german. Literally and accounting for word order, (I have Karaoke in german sung) =

Ich habe Karaoke auf Deutsch gesungen.

    –or–

Ich hatte Karaoke auf Deutsch gesungen. (I had sung Karaoke in German)

    –or the less common–

Ich sang Karaoke auf Deutsch. (I sang Karaoke in german)

He/she/it has sung Karaoke in German.

Er/sie/es hat Karaoke auf Deutsch gesungen. (Literally –>)

He/she/it has Karaoke in German sung.

If you want to say *had sung* instead, then just replace these "hat" ‘s with "hatte" ‘s

    Er/sie/es sang Karaoke auf Deutsch.
    He/she/it sang Karaoke in German.

Boom! Das hast du dein Antwort!!!
