What’s this week’s online karaoke question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: I subscribed to sing to the world, an online karaoke streaming site and it does not work properly. The lyrics come up but the sound does not. This is odd because I have had sing to the world before on my computer and it worked fine last time.

It works on other people's computors using my log on details.

I have a mac os x version 10.4.7
processor 1.8 GHz power pc G5
Memory 256 MB DDR SD RAM

I have Safari version 2.0.4 (429.3)

Sing to the world advised me to download macromedia flash player to make it easier to get the sound to work, so I downloaded version 9,0,16,0 but that did not change anything.

My sound works fine with other things like Limewire and I Tunes and if I play CDs on the computer.

I had talk talk but now have telewest.

I upgraded my I Tunes software and I find it a bit unstable, it tends to quit.

Can anyone advise on how to get the sound to sing to the world and also how to get rid of my recent update of the I Tunes software?

Any advise much appreciated.

Answer: You might try a different browser. Apple no longer supports Safari. Give Firefox a try. If you don't want to try that check your helper apps in Safari preferences to make certain that whatever app Sing to the World expects to use as it's default exists in that preference, and if not, add it.
