   you could do a survey for friends and family and ask them what their favourites are, 'cos you don't wanna be singing songs where a) people don't know them b) don't like them etc.

   any britney song

   Try the X-Factor website – people can sing and record their own versions of songs – you can also do it yourself. This will give you an idea of the favourite songs.
